Celebration of Education
This is a special time of year when we take time to recognize the accomplishments of our staff members and say "thank you" to anyone who is retiring. Once again we are combining multiple recognition events into one “Celebration of Education” program. On May 23rd 2012, the “Celebration of Education” will be held at St. Stephen’s Church Hall in Belvedere (see flyer). In addition to recognizing the 2011-2012 Phoebe Hearst Award recipient, we will announce and celebrate our Golden Bell Teachers and Classified Staff Member, our Rotary Teachers of the Year, and the 3rd Chris Carter Innovation award recipient, as well as this year’s retirees.
Parents and staff are welcome to attend the Celebration of Education and join in recognizing award recipients and retirees on Wednesday, May 23rd from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. This is a children free event sponsored by the PTA.
Thank You Foundation for Reed Schools
Last week was an exciting week of events for the annual fundraising drive of the Foundation for Reed Schools. This year’s Reed Regatta, Fashion Show and Bingo Night programs were huge successes. Preliminary indications are that nearly $300,000 was raised for programs and activities in the Reed Union School District. THANK YOU for your generous support! Our children are our greatest asset, and your help will allow for continuation of the many high quality programs offered in our District.
School Site Surveys Out
All parents should look for the annual school site survey that you will receive electronically from your individual school Site Council in the next few days. The surveys are due back by May 24th. Once the data has been compiled, it will be published on school websites. Thank you in advance for helping us collect important information about the academic programs and activities in our different schools this past year!
Miss Representation Reminder
